Friday Nights Campground

We are now only 30 days away from the greatest adventure of this year, besides Thomas' lifelong union to The General.  After much discussion, this year the WolfPak will be enhancing the canoe trip by adding a day of camping at the beginning of the trip. Instead of waking up at the ass-crack of dawn (4:30am) on Saturday and travelling 3 hours to Twin River Outfitters, we will be setting up camp on Friday night so we will have less than 30 minutes to drive in the morning.

There are two campgrounds in the area that are not fully booked or that require a three day reservation.  Unfortunately one of the campgrounds has not responded so that leaves us with one campground.  Middle Creek Campground. I have spoken with them and they have an enormous field for primitive camping.  You can see them to the left of the lakes,  She pretty much guaranteed me that there would be plenty of space.

  1. Great Work!

Is the camp site we're still waiting back to hear from the one that is near the river where we'll camp one of the nights after canoeing?

  2. Have we talked to Twin river to see if we can stay at one of their sites on the river? I imagine they might let us say cheap since we are booking our trip with them. I dont care either way its just a suggestion based on previous comments.

  3. Nick: Thanks, yes, that's the one, b/c they use outfitters and are a small family run campground maybe they don't check their email all the time. Also, I did call but no answer.

Thomas: I didn't ask them but i told them our plans and they didn't offer anything like that. He suggested another campground but they required a 3-night stay b/c of the weekend. So I started to look elsewhere.
